    Dear list members:

    I would like to do some work on learning regular expression patterns from
    text. Brill's paper "Pattern-based disambiguation for natural language
    processing" in the EMNLP-VLC 2000 proceedings describes an interesting
    algorithm. Has anybody implemented Brill's or other regular expression
    learning algorithms? Any information on what types of
    ambiguities people have applied regular expression learning to? Is there by
    any chance an
    available implementation?
