Dear Corpora Readers,
I am looking for a resource that provides pronounciations of Italian
words where that is not predictable from the orthography (stress, open
and closed mid vowels). Can anyone give suggestions?
Ideal would be a computer readable list that includes inflected forms
and gives a reference pronunciation in Standard Italian for each
orthographic word. Pronouncing lexicons for Italian dialects/regional
varieties would also be very helpful. Of course, I'd be happy for
pointers to any resources that I could convert into the necessary form.
For example, an electronic version of a traditional dictionary would be
fine if it included pronunciation information.
Thanks in advance. If there's any interest, I'll provide a summary of
what I learn for the list.
Best wishes,
Chris
