Running COLT texts with links to sound files

Here are some small texts with links to sound files. This is one of the possible ways of presenting the text and sound on a set of CD-ROMs in addition to the searchable version on the Web. The sound files will be split into 15 seconds segments.

The sound is here presented in 4 formats, on the CD-ROM only one of the MP3-formats will be chosen:

• Original WAV format (22.05 kHz, mono, 16bit), 15 sec=647 kB, need 8900 MB
• MP3, 32 kbps, better than AM, compressed 11 times, 61 kB, need 802 MB, 2 CD-ROMs
• MP3, 56 kbps, FM quality, compressed 6.3 times, 106 kB, need 1415 MB, 3 CD-ROMs
• MP3, 64 kbps, FM quality, compressed 5.5 times, 121 kB, need 1620 MB, 3 CD-ROMs
