    The EDP department of the Institute for Dutch Lexicology (INL) is
    looking for a

    PROGRAMMER

    who not only enjoys developing software but also enjoys giving user
    support and doing system management tasks in a Unix environment.
    However, the emphasis will be on software development.

    The programmer will work for an EDP department that is responsible
    for the complete ICT infrastructure of the current INL projects.
    Examples of the systems involved are linguistic retrieval systems
    that are accessible via Internet, lexicographic workstations
    (dictionary compiling support systems) and conversion tools. Needless
    to say that this software is developed in close cooperation with the
    project involved.
    Providing user support, not only for the standard office applications
    but also for the custom-made software, belongs to the tasks of the
    department.

    For this (full-time) job you will have the following:

    - relevant higher vocational education (equivalent to Dutch HBO level)
    - in-depth knowledge of C/C++, Java, Perl
    - knowledge of markup languages such as HTML, XML
    - experience with user support and Unix system management
    - the ability to work independently within a team

    The maximum salary for this position is Dfl. 6287.
