Tinsley, Howard E. A., and David J. Weiss. "Interrater Reliability and Agreement." In _Handbook of Applied Multivariate Statistics and Mathematical Modeling_, edited by Howard E. A. Tinsley and Steven D. Brown, pp. 95-124. San Diego, CA: Academic Press, 2000.

The authors review the most common procedures for assessing reliability at different levels of measurement and across various numbers of coders. The authors also develop a distinction between reliability and agreement, arguing that these are essentially different concepts that require different assessment techniques.
